A two-day alpine trek designed for physically active hikers seeking a rewarding summit experience near Almaty. Combining Big Almaty Lake, a high-altitude overnight camp, and a panoramic ascent of Peak Tourist

ITINERARY
  • Day 1
    07:00 | Hotel Pick-Up & Transfer
We pick up guests from their hotels and drive to the Edelweiss checkpoint. At the start of the hiking route, we distribute group equipment among participants. Heavy backpacks are transferred by special vehicle to the Cosmostation, allowing us to begin the hike lighter.
    12:00 – 13:30 | Big Almaty Lake
Our journey begins with a stop at the stunning Big Almaty Lake. We rest, enjoy lunch, and continue ascending.
    13:30 – 16:30 | Cosmostation (3200 m)
As we climb higher, the views become increasingly expansive. We pass a border checkpoint (ID required) and reach the Dzhusaly Kezen Pass near the Cosmostation area, where we set up camp. Night temperatures can be cool due to altitude, preparing us for an early summit push the next morning.
Overnight in tents at 3200 m.
  • Day 2
    05:00 | Summit Ascent Begins
Early wake-up, breakfast preparation, and departure toward the summit.
    07:00 – 08:00 | Peak Tourist (3960 m)
The ascent takes around 2 hours and includes loose rocks and exposed sections requiring attention. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of Almaty city, Prokhodnoye Gorge, and Big Almaty Lake. We have tea and sandwiches at the top before descending.
    10:00 – 11:00 | Camp Packing
We return to camp, pack equipment, and prepare for the descent.
    11:00 – 18:00 | Circular Descent via Prokhodnoye Gorge
The route continues as a scenic loop around the mountain. We descend through forest trails, Terra meadow, Witch’s Creek, and the Maiden’s Tears waterfall, finishing at AlmaraSan parking.
    18:00 – 19:00 | Return to Almaty
    Transfer back to your hotel.
