We did a private tour to Charyn canyon with Sergey as our guide/driver. It was a fantastic day out and went on a few back roads and canyon viewpoints where we saw no-one else. Sergey was a safe driver and learnt more about the area, plus Kazakhstan. He was particularly helpful at the very end at our drop-off with a non-issue unrelated to the tour, with an partly incorrect address at our airbnb apartment. Great lunch also.

This is a private tour to Charyn Canyon with Damir as our driver and also guide who is simply amazing. He speaks perfect English (of course after a number of years living and studying in the UK himself) and is knowledgeable about everything related to the place. Even more importantly, he drives a Lexus SUV which is so comfortable. I was in a group tour to the Canyon last year. But this time I still managed to see a lot of new things because Damir took us to IG/photo spots off the beaten track, which according to him, are exclusive to his company. All in all, my two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you, Damir.

We have done three tours with this agency and we loved all. We particularly liked that they took us to lesser known viewpoints of the Charyn canyon that were espectacular.

We had a great personalised day tour to Charyn Canyon which was organised by Maria just a day before. Our thanks to her for getting us an excellent driver - Stash who really knew his way around the Canyon and took us to some amazing spots to view the multi-faceted Canyon, and a wonderful English-speaking guide, Nargiza, who took us on our walk through the Canyons and gave us an insight into not just Kazakhstan but also Uzbekistan. The Charyn Canyon is a must-do day trip. The site is breathtaking. Enough pictures show that :) The walk through the Canyon is not long - just 2.6 km. but it is uphill on the way back. Start early so the sun doesn't hit you on the way back! There's the lovely river at the end of the walk with crystal clear cold water.

My friend recommended Azamat's team to make a trip to Charyn Canyon and the outfitters did not disappoint us. The trip to the canyon was unforgettable. Our driver and guide in one person Andrei (crew No. 14) impressed us with a good knowledge of the history and geography of the region, the stories were interesting and informative. A very good company offering great tour options in Almaty. There was clear communication about everything from start to finish. They considered our budget and helped accommodate it well. Our driver/guide Rami was professional, punctual and his driving was very safe. He had no problem communicating fluently in English and Russian to accommodate to the needs of the guests on the tour. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for tours in Almaty.

We took two different one day trips with Yeldar: one to the petroglyphs of Tanbaly and other to the Charyn canyons. He did a great job driving, guiding us and sharing insights and history about the country. Unfortunately in the Tanbaly tour we didn't have the support from Mr. Boris Zheleznyakov, PhD in history, as he was out of town and we had to rely on the explanation of a local shared tour guide. This is the only reason why I wouldn't not rate this as 5 stars. Other than that it was a great experience!

Tours to Charyn Canyon and Big Almaty Lake were very beautiful. I recommend this Company especially for Charyn Canyon. You leave the paved road and explore a really stunning place. Yeldar and Jenya are excellent drivers, very professional and friendly. Go there, Kazakhstan is really beautiful!

We went to the charyon canyon with Pavel and to Issyk lake with Yevgeniy. Both guides did a great job and were very patient with us as we were traveling with our 1 year old daughter. At the charyon canyon we went to places where there were no other tourists which was great. Pavel was a great driver as the roads seemed to be quiet challenging. Yevgeniy who took us to issyk lake was very talkative and told us interesting facts about different things on the way there and on spot. Very easy to talk with him. Would we have had more time we would have gone somewhere else with him. We booked both trips late and for the first trip we were a bit worried that we would not be able to go as we did not hear back from outfitters straight away, but once we did hear back from them everything worked out really well and we were able to go to Charyon canyon the day after and then later onwards to issyk lake. Both cars were clean and in perfect condition as well. I would highly recommend outfitters

Very good trip. Guide and driver yezran professional and very safe driver. Brought us to places where tour buses cannot reach, like moon canyon and stone shelf. Must update their website to be same standard and transparency as viator or getguide.

I would like to say that our trip was great and well prepared. I contacted outfitter KZ via mail and Natalya organised everything perfectly. We were able to confirm all detalis via mail and Whatup. Our driver, Sergey, was well prepared for the tirp. Before we started our tour he took us to the village to show us lokal marked, we also had a chance to buy some local snacks (bread with onion is highly recomened to try!) In the canion he showed us beatiful, scenic places aroud the Canion. He has great knowlege about visiting places. Also he organised pleasant please for lunch- we have a picnic in very quiet and scenic place on the top of the canion. Last but not least, Natalya contacted us the day before the trip with if somebody can jon us to share the cost of the trip. That was really nice.

My partner and I loved our private day tour visit to Charyn Canyon. Ramil was an excellent guide, the jeep was very comfortable and the tour was thoroughly thought out, Ramil took us to amazing viewing spots that had zero tourists, which felt very special. I would highly recommend Outfitters, it offered a wonderful experience that we will never forget and we loved having Ramil as our guide, as he was so kind, thoughtful and very knowledgable. If you are deciding which tour company to choose for this trip, I highly recommend Outfitters KZ, they take you places that no other company take you too, even on the cold, rainy and windy day we visited, Charyn Canyon was epic!

I went on a tour to Charyn Canyon. I chose Nomad Outfitters as they seem to be the only ones that don't do the typical one stop Charyn tour. We took off early morning and arrived before all the crowds - the place wasn't all that crowded on Friday anyways - and enjoyed some piece on the spot. The tour included stops in some other remote and beautiful places definitely worth seeing. Price wise they are very competitive for what they offer! Regardless of one or two passengers in the car. And Yevgeniy acted as both driver and guide so costs don't pile up. Real value for money! Don't miss it!

Our day trip to the Charyn Canyon was incredible. We were able to see the canyon from many different viewpoints (away from the crowds) and take in some stunning scenery. The day was well organised with a mix of walking, driving off road and exploring all the hidden gems. We would 100% recommend doing this tour and visiting the Canyon. Our guide, Ramil, was very helpful and informative. The car was a 4x4 jeep which lovely and spacious. Me and my boyfriend shared our trip with another guy from Germany which meant it was a nice group size to explore the canyon and have a memorable day! The company were very professional with Natalya the team manager organising the timings and day to the guide on the actual day. The price is also very reasonable!

Nomad Outfitters where not only extremely professional (everything in time, according to plan, comfortable, etc.) but also actually very nice. Our driver, Salamat was a very kind person with very interesting conversation, which is something to be happy with when you are going to share about 10 hours non-stop with him. The tour takes you to several spots in the Charyn Canyon area, apparently way more than the ones you visit in regular tours. In any case, all the stops were worth visiting. The beauty of the place is beyond what I can explain with words and Nomad Outfitters team helped make that experience extremely enjoyable.

Had a 1-day Kaindy and Kolsai lakes, Black and Charyn canyon trip with Sergei as my driver and guide. Before the tour, the organizers were very prompt in replying, kindly answering to all my questions and concerns. For the tour, my guide Sergei was very helpful, providing all necessities that I have not thought of such as coins, tissue, extra cash for horseriding etc. He made sure to prioritize my physical condition and interests in deciding the direction of the tour. Thanks to him, I had a very good experience, and I am willing to travel with this agency again in the future.

We did the express tour to Charyn Canyon and Kaindy Lake. As it was a private tour we could tailor the tour to our liking. Pick up was on time and Yeldar was a very informative guide and safe driver. We enjoyed our day to the fullest.

If you're looking for a tour from Almaty look no further than the top notch Outfitters KZ. They accommodated us on short notice and kept in touch as to our itinerary and relevant details. Damir, our driver/guide for the Charyn Canyon, Kaindy and Kolsay Lake tour was well trained, professional and courteous. He went above and beyond. He arranged an early breakfast so we could arrive early at Kaindy Lake, before others tourists came. He also made sure that my husband who has leg problems had transportation as close to the sights as possible. Damir even brought sunscreen and raincoats for us. On top of all this Damir has an encyclopedic knowledge of Kazakhstan creating an immersive experience on many levels. Our accommodations on the tour were comfortable and the home cooked meals delicious. The picnic lunch was a real treat. Our day trip with Alex to the Tambaly Petroglyphs was also very enjoyable. Outfitters KZ helped create unforgettable memories of our travels in Kazakhstan.

We had an amazing trip to Tambaly petroglyphs with Andrey! We were the only tourists on that day. It's a 2 km walk around hills with petroglyphs. We also stopped at the museum before entrance. Our tour lead and guides Damir and Dayana were one of the best tour guides we have experienced. They were knowledgeable - Damir shared amazing insights into Kazakhstan's culture, history, nature, and traditions. They were very friendly and a great company on one-day long tours. The areas we visited were beautiful and definitely worth visiting. Assy plateau is unique in its landscape and natural beauty. Both Damir and Dayana are excellent drivers, especially Dayana and made the visits comfortable. We would definitely be back touring with them when we are return to Kazakhstan.

The Outfitters KZ team assigned Damir who organised for our pickup from the hotel, our hike to the big Almaty lake, as well as gave us an incredible cultural and historical glimpse of the Kazakh people. Or second expedition was to Assy Plateau via Turgen Valley and Issyk Lake. The road to the plateau isn't the greatest (requires 4WD) but Damir's Lexus and Diana driving alongside the easy conversions (in their impeccable english) made the long journey incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed learning about all things Kazakstan in our two days spent with Damir and Diana.

Our guide and drive, Darmir, is the best company one could hope for. Not only he is extremely knowledgeable about Kazakh history but he is also just excellent company. The day long trip seemed to fly away in his presence. It made our day!
