Which hike is the hardest?
The Kolsai hiking day: about 18 km from the first to the second Kolsai lake and back, with around 500 m of climbing.
Is there an easier option?
Yes. The walk to Bear Waterfall is about 4 km round trip, and Big Almaty Lake can be done by car instead of on foot.
Can I ride instead of hiking?
At Kolsai, yes: each person can ride a horse, led and controlled by a professional from start to finish.
When is the best time for hiking?
June to September for the mountain trails. In May and October we plan each hike around the trail conditions.
